BOP Rugby Academy

The BOP Rugby Academy was established in 2004 with the primary aims of:

Developing talented players with the skills, discipline, knowledge and attitude to succeed at Air New Zealand Cup level and beyond. Helping to ensure that Academy members have a balance in their lives, including preparing them for life outside rugby. Providing Academy members with educational & employment support and guidance.

The Academy is a 3-year programme which assists player development in the following areas: Fitness and conditioning Technical and positional skills Sports psychology Nutrition Organisational skills Communication skills Work ethic and attitude
