The Bay of Plenty Rugby Union is paying tribute to our service men and women. The Bay of Plenty Police and Wellington Police will kick off the evening as the fitting curtain raiser for the Mitre 10 Cup fixture.

To add to the festivities the Whanau Zone will be packed with plenty of service vehicles to keep the kids entertained, with the inclusion of police cars, fire engines, an army troop carrier and a 105mm Howitzer Gun.

Bay of Plenty Rugby Union CEO Mike Rogers commented, “It is great to have the New Zealand Defence Force, New Zealand Fire and Emergency Services, Rotorua Lakes Coastguard and a number of Police to be a part of tomorrow night’s fixture. They do an incredible job in the community and this is just a small token of our appreciation to have them along to the game for free on us.”
