Referees Club Update

Plenty going on in and around our Club as we head into Semi-Finals already, this weekend for Premier Women. Go well to all appointed to those games, plus the QF fixtures in Central Bay's Local round!

It was disappointing to have to cancel the Baywide Meeting with Bryce Lawrence due to extreme weather, but we're pleased to have slotted in an extra Baywide date THIS MONDAY 12th June @ BOPRU in Mt Maunganui.

If you're not using RefLIVE yet, please have a read about it below. It is already giving us some incredibly valuable info, but we need more!

CONGRATS to Robert “Pudgey” Veale - another referee promoted up the ranks into Panel 3. Great to see you wearing the referee jersey again Pudgey after your successes playing for TBC 1st XV in recent years!

AFTER-MATCH SPEECHES - don't forget to thank our BOPRU Referee Partners, Generation Homes and Roofing Industries! Plus, if you are lucky enough to be working with ARs, Subs Controllers or a Referee Coach, always a must to thank them in the speech. Lastly, what a great opportunity to encourage everyone in the room to get into refereeing! Tell them how great it is!

BEFORE & AFTER EVERY MATCH

A very short reminder about some non-negotiables:

Before a match (kick-off must be delayed until these are completed):

Ropes on BOTH sides of the field, tech zones on one side
Team sheets (app or paper) completed and sighted before kick-off

After a match

Reports completed for any Red/Blue/Yellow cards
Submit a short RefLIVE assessment of your game experience (highly recommended)
Match report lodged for any Game On rules used, or other notable circumstances
