New Zealand Rugby have rolled out a new Disciplinary Report form which now makes capturing the information required for Referees to fill in much easier, via the MyRugby Manager app. Info and support can be found on our usual reporting page boprugby.co.nz/referee-reporting
REMEMBER - if you issue a Red, Yellow or Blue card, these MUST be reported within 48hrs.
Every time. No Exceptions.
This is your responsibility as a Registered Referee.
What is the MyRugby Manager App?
This app was initially built for team managers, but now has become an excellent tool for Referees. Through the app you can view your appointments, view team sheets, and lodge red, yellow and blue card reports. You can even score the game if you choose (but not required). It is available on all Apple and Android devices.
How do I access the MyRugby Manager App?
- Download the MyRugby Manager app (don't get this mixed up with the MyRugby App which is for supporters!)
- Login with your AppointMe login details
- Select the applicable fixture from your appointed fixtures, and begin "scoring" the game
- Enter card type and number into the “scoring” section of the fixture
- Card “event” time on app doesn’t have to match up with actual time card issued
- No need to submit a score in order to complete reports (although it is useful if you do in case of disputes)
Full instructions and video tuturial are available on our Referee Reporting page. Video also shown above, and PDF guide can be accessed here.
What if I can't access the App, or a team didn't submit their team list online?
- Remember - your game must not start until you've seen a team list for both teams.
- This SHOULD be via the app, have the manager show you before kick-off or view on your own app, ensure the jersey numbers are assigned to players.
- If they can't/won't submit their team via the app, they must show you a paper version of their team list. Complete a match report following the game to inform the Union the team list wasn't submitted, and we can support/troubleshoot the app with them.
- If you are unable to complete your report via the app, you can still access the Disciplinary Report and Blue Card Report in exactly the same place on our Referee Reporting page.
- You MUST still obtain the name and jersey number of a player when you submit a report, even if they haven't put their team sheet online. This is why lists must be viewed BEFORE the match no matter the format - don't rely on/assume they're be online.
What are the benefits of completing reports via the App?
- All of the match information and player details will be pre-filled for you - no need to look these up or type them in!
- App easy to access to use, report at your fingertips.
- A lot of time will be saved for our administrators (such as the legendary Evan Booker) not having to manually load the report details into the NZR Database, this will now be automatically done and easier to track.
