The Bay of Plenty Rugby Union will continue to lead the talent identification process developed during 2016. Kyle McLean continues to head this team and has appointed campaign managers to work alongside our age grade coaching staff.. Our primary objective continues to be the identification and development of our future club players who will then feed into our steamers.
Our talent ID network will be used to support your coaching staff nominations. This will be backed up by attendance at more school games to clearly identify and feed back to players and coaches on player performance when nominated.

Our goal for secondary school rugby is to develop a lifelong love of the game. For this to happen we need to ensure that a positive experience is had by all those who participate. This includes player’s coach’s referees and parents.
To assist us in achieving this we are keen to hear about your experiences at secondary school rugby events.
