2016 New Zealand U18 Maori Squad

Congratulations to Ronin Ainsley from Te Wharekura o Mauao and Devin Tetai from Whakatane Marist who were recently selected for the New Zealand U18 Maori squad.

Kia ora koutou Te Waiariki Maori Rugby Whanau - 5 Oct Update.

All four Te Waiariki teams (Tane U15, U17 & U19 and Wahine U19s) are to
be at NZ Sports Academy, Neil Hunt park ROTORUA at 6.30pm this Friday
7th October for the pre-tournament noho. All players are expected to
have had dinner beforehand.

The three Tane teams will stay overnight at the Academy and the Wahine
U19s management is making other arrangements for that team to sleep in
Rotorua following the evenings Maori activities.

Players are to bring sleeping bag and pillow, snacks for Friday evening
and all their gear for Saturday including boots, mouth-guard, water
bottle and $10 for koha to the Academy and breakfast.

All four Te Waiariki teams will have breakfast at the Academy before
travelling to Rotorua stadium between 9am and 9.30am. The Mihi Whakatau
will commence at 10.30am before the first games kick off at 12 noon.

All players are to attend the after match function following their game
and are strongly encouraged to watch other games, support Te Waiariki
teams and make the most of the Maori rugby experience.

Tournament runs over three weeks October 2016

Participating rohe include: Bay of Plenty, Counties Manukau, Northland, North Harbour, Auckland and Waikato.
