WHAT IS GIRL CODE ?

THE STORY OF GIRL CODE

Girl Code is the brainchild of current Black Fern, Matatū Super Rugby Aupiki & Bay of Plenty Volcanix squad member Kendra Reynolds.  Kendra like many women playing Rugby Union have been responsible for paving the way for young girls and women wanting to give rugby a go!

Without women like Kendra opportunities such as Girl Code would not exist.

Ngā mihi Kendra and to all the women who created the pathway 😊

WHAT IS GIRL CODE?

Girl Code is all about GIRLS playing some CODE.

Designed for ALL Girls, participants will be able to explore physical activity through fun and exciting games while you so happen to be holding a rugby ball 🏉😉

WHY GIRL CODE?

Building a lifelong foundation of learning and love of physical activity is important for ALL young people, especially young girls and women.  What better way to do that than through Aotearoa’s most loved sport?

Girl Code strives to actively demonstrate the positive values of sport by ensuring activators are appropriately trained and are overall positive role models for our young people
