HOLIDAY PROGRAMS

LEVEL 1

NEW to Rugby, NEVER played before OR little engagement with physical activity

  • Play based
  • Skill acquisition
  • SOME Rugby based games


LEVEL 2

NEW to Rugby, has SOME base level of skills required to participate in a game of Rip/Rippa

  • Play based
  • Able to participate in more structured Non-contact Rugby based games i.e. Rip/Rippa, Touch


LEVEL 3

BEGINNER Rugby player, INTRODUCTION to contact and has some working knowledge of the game as well as the foundational skills required to make decisions in a game context

  • Play Based
  • Girls ONLY Rip/Rippa Modules
  • Girls ONLY Tackle Clinics


LEVEL 4

INTERMEDIATE level of player, has played multiple years of rugby or similar, working knowledge of the game and its physical requirements as well as INTRODUCTION to position specific skills appropriate to the format they are playing

  • Girls ONLY Scrum Factory
  • OTHER Girls ONLY position specific sessions


LEVEL 5

INTERMEDIATE TO ADVANCED level of player, similar to above, but looking to further build on the skills acquired over multiple years of playing and focus on position specific skills sessions as well as preparation for tournaments that schools may be entering

  • Tournament preparation (Primary School 7s, ANY BOPRU &/or NZRugby run events/festivals, AIMS Games or Condors)

*NOTE:  MINIMUM group number of 25 students/players per session (including boys & girls sessions)
