New Zealand Rugby has approved a range of Experimental Domestic Safety Law Variations (EDSLV's) to be implemented across school and club rugby in 2022, alongside World Rugby's Global Law Trials.

Education and training has been established in March and a follow up in May, to ensure all coaches and referees are across the changes which affects the grades they are are involved in.
