Ngāwhā Head Coach Vacancy 

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Ngāwhā Head Coach to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of the game and a proven track record in coaching top club rugby athletes. As the head coach, you will be responsible for fostering a positive and supportive team environment, developing player skills, and implementing effective training programs.  

Requirements: 

- Prior coaching experience in Men's rugby, preferably at a premier level or above. 

- Strong knowledge of the rules and tactics of rugby. 

- Ability to effectively communicate and motivate players and our performance team. 

- A commitment to fostering a culture of inclusivity, diversity, and sportsmanship 

- Certification in relevant coaching courses or willingness to obtain certifications 


Responsibilities: 

- Plan and execute engaging and effective training sessions 

- Analyse players' performance and provide constructive feedback 

- Develop and implement strategies for team improvement 

- Foster teamwork, discipline, and a strong work ethic within the team 

- Collaborate with the management to create a sustainable and competitive team

Junior Rugby Activators​​​​​​​

We are looking for multiple Junior Rugby Activators to help us run our new “Girl Code” (9-13 yrs) and “Secondary Schools Explore” (14-15 yrs) programmes we are running across the Bay of Plenty this year. 

These are casual roles with the successful candidates required to travel to primary, intermediate, and secondary schools and deliver sessions both after school at various venues and at school holiday programmes.

Girl Code and Secondary Schools Explore are new initiatives designed to engage and interact with more girls and young women through a formalised in and out of school programme. The purpose of the programme is to give them the opportunity to increase their physical activity through games using rugby equipment. The purpose of this position is to implement these programmes across the Bay of Plenty region commencing in 2022 in our Primary, intermediate, and secondary schools.
