REFEREE CLUB SEASON LAUNCH OPEN DAY

Date: Sunday 10th April

Time: 10am start on-field - inside for lunch, then finish no later than 1pm

Location: Paengaroa Domain / Eastern Districts Rugby Club

Bring: Comfortable gear to run around in on the field, water bottle, Whistle (optional, just in-case)

What: Positioning drills lead by Nick Briant, fun games of touch and other activities, Bronco test opportunity, lunch & refreshments in the club, connection time with other referees, meet referee coaches

Catering: Pizza provided for lunch, refreshments available for purchase at the bar

Who: ALL WELCOME to attend! Referee club members, and those interested in refereeing. Bring along anyone who would enjoy the day!

Ensure you're registered for the year (link above). If you need on-field kit, go to our Gear Page and complete a request now so Grant has an opportunity to bring your sizes along on Sunday.

WHAT TO EXPECT ON THE DAY

On-field refs - you will be moving, you will be doing some running around, you will be participating in activities to grow you as a referee, have fun and develop skills. There will be drills, games of touch, even some refereeing/ARing opportunities. Plus we'll all be doing a Bronco - choice to complete one for a recorded time, or break it up to run a shortened one for practice.

Referee Coaches - you are critically important, Nick will need you to be active in working with the groups as they do the drills, coaching and providing feedback. There will be guidance - you will need to be proactive and adaptable.
