VACANCY - Head of Physical Performance

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Bay of Plenty Rugby.  We are looking for a new Head of Physical Performance to lead our strength and conditioning program.

Reporting to the GM of High Performance, you will lead the prescription and delivery of individual strength and conditioning training programmes and provide sport science logistical support to the Bay of Plenty High Performance environment, while also assisting with oversight and delivery of our Pathway programmes.

Based at the UoW Adam’s Centre for High Performance in Mt Maunganui, the role is fulltime.

The nature of the role will require some irregular hours, weekend work, with some requirement for domestic travel in season with the Steamers NPC team.

Ideally you will have 5+ years Athletic Performance experience (as a strength and conditioning coach) in a high performance sporting environment, preferably Rugby Union.

You will have led an ‘all year round’ development programme at National Provincial Championship and/or Farah Palmer Cup, or equivalent high performance sport programme.

You will have applied knowledge and experience working with development athletes, along with leading and developing junior S&C staff.

Finally, you must be qualified and registered to work in New Zealand.
