11. TEAM SHEETS

The Bay of Plenty Rugby union undertakes to ensure all competitions are created using the Competition Management System (Sporty, Team Builder, Weighmaster, SKED and the My Rugby Manager App).  All clubs and schools are to ensure they use these online systems to register their players, create team squads, match day team sheets, keep score and submit results.

11.1    BEFORE THE MATCH

11.1.1:   All team managers are required to carry with them at all competition matches, a printed list of their entire squad list (hereinafter referred to as “Squad List”) that includes all of their registered players, their full names, dates of birth, weight (if participating in a weight restricted grade) photograph and records of dispensated players and any restrictions that those players carry with them.

11.1.2:   48 hours before a match kicks off, team managers can commence creating a team sheet of the 22 players that will be participating in the upcoming match using the My Rugby Manager App.

11.1.3:   Team managers must submit their teams by clicking the “SUBMIT” button within the  My Rugby Manager App prior to any team manager exchange AND at least twenty (20) minutes before the match kicks off.

11.1.4:   The online team sheet along with a printed version of the squad list are to be made available to be exchanged between team managers at a time that is convenient to both team managers but prior to the commencement of the competition match, to ensure that those listed to play in the match are squad members of that team and entitled to play for that team in that match.

11.1.5:   If both teams agree, the pre-match exchange of team sheets for inspection can be waived.

11.1.6:   Should rule 11.1.4 be waived by the two team managers, then no protests or complaints regarding alleged ineligible players participating in the match or dispensated players breaching their player restrictions will be entered into.

11.1.7:   Any player being appropriately utilised from another squad within the club must have their registration details as outlined in rule 7.1 on the printed squad list.

11.1.8:   Within the secondary school’s competition, there is no movement of players across teams of the same grade.  Players can only move up.

11.1.9:   At an appropriate time prior to kick off for both teams involved in a match, the referee is required to check the two team sheets, whether this be by the My Rugby Manager App or the BOPRU website draws, results and standings page to ensure both teams have been uploaded for public viewing.  (NOTE: for U6-U13 matches, public viewing of team sheets will be turned off for child protection reasons.)  For matches where "Game On" appies, this is a good time for the two managers and the referee to come together to discuss if Game On is going to be invoked and if so, what parameters of Game On will be in place for that specific match. Games are NOT to start until the referee has confirmed both teams have entered their starting 22 players (or at least 10 for Game On or at least 15, including a trained front row).

11.2      DURING THE MATCH

11.2.1:   For any match where the NZR half-game rule applies; team managers are to come together again at the commencement of the 2nd half to ensure that all players from the reserves bench play the second half.

11.2.2:   Any coach found to be breaching the NZR half game rule will be automatically suspended from coaching any team for one week.  Repetitive breaches will be dealt with by the relevant competitions committee.  For Baywide Competitions this is the Competitions and Emergency Committee.  For all other competitions: this will be the relevant competition committee(CBOPRSU, EBOPRSU, WBOPRSU, Secondary Schools Competition Committee)

11.2.3:    Both teams' Managers, or any volunteer of each team given "SCORER" rights  can keep score for the game using the My Rugby Manager App, by recording trys, penalty trys, conversions, penalties and drop goals against the player number making the score.  This will publish the score "LIVE" on the Draws and Results webpage and the My Rugby App for all the fans, supporters and parents who use the app to follow their team.

11.3      AFTER THE MATCH

11.3.1:   At the conclusion of the match, the scorers and the referee come together to confirm the score for the game.  If all three agree then both scores get submitted by the scorer or manager using the My Rugby Manager App and the competition points table gets automatically updated, including any bonus points as set out in the relevant competition format appendix.

11.3.2:   Where there is any dispute as to the score between the two teams, all reasonable steps must be taken by the two team managers and the referee to reconcile the score before submitting the score online using the My Rugby Manager App AND before everyone departs the ground.

11.3.3:   Where a game finishes prematurely, whether called off due to a serious injury, repetitive or continual foul play, weather conditions (thunderstorms, failing light) pitch invasion, the game must be 75% completed before a result can be achieved. Where a game ends due to repetitive or continual foul play or pitch invasion the matter shall be referred to the Disciplinary Process.

11.3.4:    Where a game finishes prematurely, whether called off due to a serious injury, repetitive or continual foul play, weather conditions (thunderstorms, failing light) pitch invasion and the game has only been played for less than 75% of the normal playing time, teams can agree to the score at the time of the stoppage as counting or, where there is a dispute, the matter can be referred to the relevant Competitions Committee for resolution.

11.3.5:    Where the two teams submit their scores separately, without confirming with each other at the conclusion of the match and those scores are different, the first score published is displayed, but IN RED, until the conflict is resolved to the agreement of the two teams and the referee by the competition administrator.

11.3.6:    ONLY In circumstances where a team/s manager has technical issues with lodging a team sheet or keeping score or submitting a score through the My Rugby Manager app, the team manager is to keep a legible hand written copy of the team sheet, along with the score and names of scorers, yellow, blue or red cards issued to members of the team  and must forward this by email to the competition administrator ( competitionsadmin@boprugby.co.nz ) no later than 48 hours  after the conclusion of the match.
